Tokusen's Conway Arkansas facility is the North American Headquarters for Tokusen Group. Tokusen U.S.A. Inc. produces Tire Cord for North American, South American and European Customers and provides R&D and Sales support for all Tokusen Group products in these markets including products imported from other regions.

Electrical Technician

Education and Qualifications

  • 2~5 years’ experience in maintenance of plant equipment, industrial wiring, automobiles, small engines, etc.
  • Must be able to work safely, efficiently, and independently with minimum supervision.
  • Be a problem solver and team player.
  • Formal technical school certifications or equivalent job experience.
  • Must communicate job tasks to teammates to accomplish company goals.
  • Must be able to read and interpret drawings, maintenance work orders, and SOPP’s.
  • Must be able to read electrical prints and diagnose problems.
  • Proficient use of powered hand tools, multi-meter, megger, mechanics wrenches, etc.
  • Introductory level computer skills – Knowledge of MS Office products, file structures, able to log on to laptop, connect to PLC, and trouble shoot equipment via PLC program.

Essential Duties

  • Consider Safety First while performing all job functions.
  • This is a multi-craft electrical and mechanical technician position. Emphasis will be placed on repair of electrical components to include:
  • a. 120vac and 3 phase power up to 480vac

    b. ac/dc control signals

    c. basic PLC components

    d. variable speed drive components.

  • Maintain all mechanical components of equipment using necessary work instruction from maintenance supervision.
  • Proper use of basic mechanic’s hand tools is required.
  • Proper use of electric multi-meter and megger is required. Trouble shoot and diagnose repairs that may include replacement of timers, relays, PLC cards, variable speed drives. Installation of these components is also included.
  • Trouble shoot and diagnose repairs that may include belts, bearings, gears, pulleys, valves, piping, pumps, etc.
  • A working knowledge of machine power transmission will be used to dismantle and repair Tokusen equipment.
  • Provide technical support for production and other department(s).
  • Must follow work instructions and utilize skills to promote our Preventative Maintenance program; reduce unscheduled downtime.
  • Must be able to diagnose machine problems and find root cause.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Cooperate with managers of all departments to insure efficiency.
  • Communicate the status of work-in-progress with the maintenance supervisor and discuss problems.
  • All other duties as assigned by Management.

Shift hours vary depending on the position. Most manufacturing jobs work 3-day/4-day 12-hour shifts including rotating days/nights every 2 weeks. Production Supervisor

Essential Functions

  • Ensure effective employee relations. Provide employee coaching and development. Makes employment decisions. Resolve employee issues through problem resolution.

Supervisory Responsibility

Material Handler

General Description

  • The primary role of the Material Handler is to safely handle, move, load and unload material by hand using various material handling equipment to and from various production areas following standard operating procedures. This position is a 12 hour rotating shift and reports directly to the Supervisor.
  • This position is to process rework material and scrap following standard operating procedures.
  • Perform other duties as requested.

Essential Functions

  • Requires constant walking, standing, bending, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling and crouching in a multi-temperature work environment.
  • Requires working closely with other team members to get product moved on a timely basis.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Assure that all safety procedures and policies are followed
  • Assure that all work procedures are adhered to
  • Operate forklift and other material handling equipment to move, pick or load material/product
  • Place material in proper assigned locations with proper material identification tags attached

Skills & Education Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • State Driver’s license required
  • Prior Forklift experience desirable; Must be able to obtain Forklift license
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to communicate well verbally
  • Ability to lift 40 to 60 pounds repetitively
  • Must be able to pass a comprehensive drug screen prior to and at all times during employment.
